Suits of armor throughout the generations have changed tremendously. In the 14th century they would be tailored personally to who was wearing it, made to be flexible in needed areas, but extremely protective in others. As I arrive shortly on my 21st birthday, I reflect on the things that have affected me the most the past couple of years. The hurdles I have jumped, achievements I’ve earned and  the friends I have gained and lost. Most importantly I reflect on what I bring with me in my 21 years of life, to protect my peace and to not lose sight of who I am. This necklace takes inspiration from medieval armor, as well as inspiration of my interest in regal jewelry and beadwork.  Like 14th century this  armour is personalized  for the one who is wearing it.
